Kim Phillips-Fein is Associate Professor of History at the Gallatin School at New York University. She is the author of Fear City: New York’s Fiscal Crisis and the Rise of Austerity Politics as well as of Invisible Hands: The Businessmen’s Crusade Against the New Deal.
